In the Fall of 2025, our singers in grades 8 through 10 with rehearsal separately from our older singers. This will allow us to focus on the vocal concerns that singers of this age face. As well, it will allow our junior high school singers to connect more deeply with each and be mentors by members of the Okanagan Youth Choir. Rehearsals will be on Wednesdays from 5-7pm in Kelowna.
Rehearsals will include, but not be limited to, the following elements:
- community connection
- vocal tech time and pedagogy – developing our voices individually and as a group
- helping our singers navigate smoothly through voice change
- learning new music in a variety of styles
- working on our sight singing and musicianship skills
Cost for the full year of singing is approximately $460. Financial support is available for those with financial need.
